Bookmaking Workshops (2018)
Selection of some of the hand made artist and photo books, made with students of Photography Film Video, and also Painting at LSAD in 2018. Part of this series was shown at The Libray Project Dublin in the Spring of 2018.
The Korean Photobook Collection (2015)
This workshop was organised in collaboration with PhotoIreland, and included borrowing and responding the their Korean Photobook Collection, part of the (2015) PhotoIreland Festival. The workshop was delivered in conjunction with photographer Andrew Miksys for students of Photography, studying at Burren College of Art. Results were presented in an exhibition at BCA Gallery, opened by Director of PhotoIreland, Angel Luis Fernandez Gonzalez.
Artists Bookmaking Workshop (2015)
This Artist Bookmaking Workshop evolved through initial contact I made with faculty from Brigham Young University Utah, through a shared interest in researching the work of Dorothea Lange in Ireland. In the summer of (2015) I co-ordinated a workshop between BYU and LSAD, located at Spanish Point in County Clare. Exploring the local environment, students worked with Cyanotype and simple printmaking techniques, to create a collection of artist books. The workshop was taught by both myself and printmaker Susannah O’Reilly, with results exhibited at Limerick School of Art & Design and BYU, Utah.
